Setting up and tearing down at a temporary location every week means we have less time to fellowship and grow together.
Build Emmaus is raising funds to build a home for your Emmaus Church family.
More than a house - let's build a home.
A church building means Emmaus will have:
– Clean, colorful rooms for children’s church
– Consistent and God-focused worship space
– Kitchen space for food and coffee prep
– Offices for leadership staff
– Less set up and breakdown for services
– Space for Bible Studies, Youth Services, and church events
– Welcoming yard for outside events
– More time to fellowship and grow together
– A safe and permanent place to call home
What needs to happen?
To build Emmaus a home, we'll need to raise a considerable amount of money. It'll take hard work - but it's possible. Together we can create an environment to help us grow as faithful followers of Jesus.
Emmaus will raise $700k by September 2024.
So far $292k has been given.
Giving to Build Emmaus is Simple
1) PRAY
Unless the Lord builds the house, we labor in vain. Pray about how you can participate.
2) GIVE
Financially support the purchase of the new Emmaus property. Every dollar brings us nearer to bringing Emmaus home.
3) BUILD
When we hit our $700k goal in September 2024, we’ll be able to purchase or build a home for Emmaus.
Renting is a lot of work - and that can lead to burnout. It's hard to experience growth if you're exhausted from serving. We believe your church family should have a place to call home.
The Build Emmaus Story
For over 10 years we have operated in rented spaces, starting in the dark office parks across from Maryland Fried Chicken and now amongst the changing stage scenes in the Garden Theater. Regardless of where we worship, so many of you have given your time, talents, and treasure to support the operational and financial needs of Emmaus. We are eternally grateful that you have chosen to honor God in this way.
